Targeting Gross Roots - All the 35 NGOs of the Federation are assigned particular area of their choice. The village level committees by UPKAR Coordination Society have been formed . The meetings with the village Sarpanches, Lambardars, Chowkidars , Anganwari Workers , ANMs and Municipal Counselors are held. Cultural programmes/Nukar Nataks highlighting the menace of female foeticide are held.
Seminar for eradication of female foeticide was organized presided over by Justice Vijender Jain the Chief Justice and Justice Uma Nath Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Young girls submitted memorandum to the various hospitals and offices covering their mouths to divert public attention.

Meeting of students about 40 college going students are invited in the D.C.Office apprising them of the Suwidha Centre wherein there is a Single Window Delivery System besides secondly to talk about the problems of female foeticide, drug de-addiction during half an hour session with the Deputy Commissioner. Computerized data base of the students with their contact numbers is prepared and asked to report about the pregnant mothers in their locality who are not registered with the Anganwari worker through a 24 hour help line No. 01823-655501. Financial incentive is also given by the UPKAR Coordination Society to such students.
Rallies on scooters , cars are organized involving participants from all age groups.
Personal letters to all Sarpanches in the form of post cards are sent by the Deputy Commissioner.
15 days intensive campaign hiring five vehicles, one for each block was carried out covering all the villages of the district. Recorded messages from popular singers like Hans Raj Hans and other celebrities are played on such vehicles. Sh.Rajan Kashup, IAS, Chief Information Commissioner, Punjab had flagged off these vehicles on 26th April, 2006.
When three cases of female foeticide came to the notice, the UPKAR Coordination Society arranged social mourning and dharnas.
On International Women Day, "langars" were organized through young girls on the entrance points of the district appealing the general public to save the girl child.
On religious melas- fairs and other social occasions where adequate public gathering is there, UPKAR Coordination Society submits memorandum to the religious leaders to help restrain from Female Foeticide and Drug Addiction in the society.
District level and Block Level seminars are held involving intellectuals, religious, social workers, organizational leaders , chemists and experts from health departments.
